Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Rovman Powell injured himself while attempting a catch to dismiss Mitchell Marsh in IPL 2026. The Knight Riders travelled to Lucknow to clash against the Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday, April 26. The game saw home skipper, Rishabh Pant win the toss and invite the rivals to bat first. In the second innings, the KKR star ended up hurting himself, leading him to walk off the field.

On the first ball of the second over, Mitchell Marsh went on the back foot to pull a short length delivery outside off by Vaibhav Arora. The ball went up, and Powell ended up running back, twisting and turning his body. Though the Jamaican managed to grab the catch, he fell awkwardly on his left arm, and didn’t get up. After consulting with the team Physio, he walked off the field, and was visibly in pain. Manish Pandey walked in as sub. Marsh was dismissed on two runs.
