The Delhi Capitals were pushed onto the backfoot when they lost Nitish Rana, Sameer Rizvi and Axar Patel within just 33 runs. David Miller was initially sent in to bat ahead of Axar Patel, but he walked off the pitch due to a hand injury. Then KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs shouldered the responsibility to finish the game for the side but Sai Sudharshan was all ready to spoil the party for the Capitals.
KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs were leading the game for the Delhi Capitals as the game seemed to be well in control of the batting side. Sai Sudharshan’s Sensational Fielding Turns the Tide for Gujarat Titans
The Gujarat Titans disrupted the momentum of the Delhi Capitals in the middle overs with some quick wickets. But the Capitals weren’t completely out of the game as they still had plenty of fire power to come down the order. With the acceleration of KL Rahul after the powerplay, there was some worry in the Titans dugout. Despite wickets falling at the other end and the injury of David Miller, the game would have been truly sealed only with the wickets of KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs, who looked in good touch. Then in the 17th over of the innings, Mohammed Siraj bowled a beamer to KL Rahul, who tucked it away and as he tried to get off strike immediately, he later changed his mind and sent his partner back. Tristan Stubbs was halfway down the pitch and Sai Sudharshan hit the bullseye at the non-striker’s end with a terrific throw onto the stumps.
