Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka gave a standing ovation to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for his 93-run knock. On Tuesday, May 19, the Super Giants visited the Pink City to lock horns with the Rajasthan Royals in the 64th league-stage clash of the IPL 2026. The game saw stand-in home skipper Yashasvi Jaiswal win the toss and invite the rivals to put up the score on the board first. The visitors rode on openers Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis’ 96 and 60-run knocks, respectively to put up a competitive total of 220 runs with the loss of five wickets.

In return, RR skipper and young batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi gave the side a flying start. While Jaiswal came up with 43 runs in 23 balls with a combination of eight boundaries and one maximum, Sooryavanshi put up another power-hitting show on display. The youngster came up with a powerful 93-run knock in just 38 deliveries to narrow the bridge. Sooryavanshi hit a total of seven boundaries and 10 maximum for the home team.

As Sooryavanshi missed another well-deserving century of the season, LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka gave him a standing ovation for his brilliant knock. The 15-year-old was dismissed on the last delivery of the 14th over off a Mohsin Khan delivery after being caught out by Abdul Samad. Apart from him, Dhruv Jurel put up another batting carnage with 53* runs in 38 deliveries to help RR record their first win at home in their last game in Jaipur.

Rajasthan Royals record first win at Jaipur in last home game of the season

With a powerful batting display from the top-order batters of the inaugural IPL season winners, the team recorded their first win at home in the last game at Jaipur. The Pink Army has now collected 14 points to reach the fourth spot in the standings. They are now required to win their last league-stage game against the Mumbai Indians. On the other hand, PBKS would hope for the Riyan Parag side to lose the game and record a significant win in the upcoming game.

KKR, on the other hand, must win both their games with a significant margin and hope for RR to lose its last game. Hopes for CSK and DC are barely hanging on and must secure big wins in their last match and hope for RR’s loss.
