Chennai Super Kings’ newest addition Sanju Samson came up with his first fifty in his new colors. Samson achieved the feat in Saturday's game as the five-time champions locked horns with the Delhi Capitals in the 18th game of the IPL 2026 at home, Chepauk. The hosts, who remain winless in the season thus far, were invited to put the score on the board first.
Samson, who got traded from the Rajasthan Royals, before the IPL 2026 season, came in to open alongside skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad. After failing to perform in his new team this season and only being able to score single-digit runs, Samson came up with his first fifty of the season as well as in his new team. The former RR skipper utilized 26 deliveries for the same and achieved the feat off a Mukesh Kumar delivery.
