Shreyas Iyer is back leading the Punjab Kings for the IPL 2026. He led the side to the finals of IPL 2025 and has been one of the most successful captains in the history of IPL. Shreyas Iyer has captained Delhi Capitals to multiple playoffs and then went on to captain KKR and won the title in 2024 IPL and then making his debut for Punjab Kings he led the side very well last season as they finished top of the table and lost in the Final. In the domestic circuit Shreyas Iyer has captained Mumbai side to a few titles as well.

Shreyas Iyer has led three different franchises in IPL. He started off as Delhi Capitals skipper and led a few good years where they made it to the playoffs. He captained them for 41 matches, winning 23 of them. Shreyas then went on to lead Kolkata Knight Riders where he has 17 wins in 30 matches and also helped them to win the IPL trophy in 2024. He became the captain of Punjab Kings in IPL 2025 and led them to the Final of IPL 2025.
