Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer once again pulled off a captain-like knock and recorded his fifty half-century of the IPL 2026. The Kings were up against the Delhi Capitals in the 55th match of the season at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala on Monday, May 11. Kings, who were once dominating the league, entered the clash on the back of a three-game losing skid, and desperately wanted a win. After being invited by Delhi to bat first, the Kings got off to a flying start, owing to the half century of Priyansh Arya.
Shreyas Iyer continued the momentum and recorded his fifth half-century of the season and 32nd of his IPL career. The talismanic batter utilized 33 deliveries for the same. Not only this, but with his half century, Iyer joined the likes of Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli to record his third consecutive fifty in IPL against the Delhi-based franchise.
Though the Punjab skipper stood firm on the crease, players on the opposite end kept changing. Cooper Conolly was caught out by David Miller at 38 in 27 deliveries, while Marcus Stoinis and Shashank Singh were forced to walk back at 1 and 0, respectively.

Deceived in the air… but still cleared the ropes 😲💥 Shreyas Iyer showed pure hand-eye coordination there — one-handed, off a slower ball, still had enough power to send it over long-off 🙌🔥#PBKSvDCpic.twitter.com/TPqtl07Qq1
