Shubham Rathore walked out to bat at number 5 and completely shifted the energy for the Indore Pink Panthers. His aggressive batting late in the innings gave the team a major boost. The Bundelkhand Bulls won the toss and chose to bowl first, putting early pressure on the Indore Pink Panthers. The Panthers were losing wickets at regular intervals and risked ending up with a below-average total. When Shubham Rathore walked out to the middle, his main job was to rescue the death overs. Instead of taking time to settle in, he played fearless, attacking cricket from his very first few deliveries. He targeted the Bulls' death-overs bowlers, forcing them to mess up their line and length. His quick 42 runs dragged the Pink Panthers from a dangerous spot up to a highly competitive score of 172/8.

His 19-ball cameo turned out to be the exact difference maker between the two teams. Chasing 173 runs, the Bundelkhand Bulls collapsed under the pressure of the steep run rate. The Indore Pink Panthers won by 25 runs. Without Rathore's explosive 42-run finish, the Panthers would have finished around 130, making it an easy win for the Bulls. Instead, his aggressive batting sealed a crucial team victory. During his 19-ball blitz, Rathore specifically targeted the Bundelkhand Bulls' star bowler Chanchal Rathore. While Chanchal took 3 wickets earlier in the game, Shubham's aggressive hitting completely disrupted his bowling figures in the final overs.

Bundelkhand Bulls collapse for just 147 runs in second innings

The Bundelkhand Bulls suffered a crushing collapse to finish at exactly 147 runs (all out) in 19.6 overs during Match 22 of the Madhya Pradesh Premier League. They failed to chase down a steep target of 173 runs set by the Indore Pink Panthers, resulting in a 25-run defeat. The second-innings chase was a story of a fighting middle order that ultimately got swallowed up by intense scoreboard pressure and brilliant death bowling. The run chase began with some promise but quickly fell apart into a complete tailspin. The Bulls' top order faced disciplined bowling from the Panthers right from the beginning. They found it difficult to get under the ball and keep up with the required run rate.

By the end of the 18th over, the Bulls were gasping at 129/7, needing a near-impossible 44 runs off the final 12 balls. Heading into the very last over of the match, the Bulls were struggling at 136/7. Right before the ultimate collapse, they managed to push the score to 143 runs, but they were entirely down to their tail-enders. Indore Pink Panthers captain Venkatesh Iyer stepped up to bowl the 20th over and single-handedly destroyed the Bulls' remaining hopes. Iyer bowled a beautiful delivery that snuck past Anant Dubey (1 run off 3 balls), crashing directly into his stumps. Rudransh Singh, who was fighting a lonely battle on 37 runs off 27 balls, launched a massive six over the ropes to give the Bulls a temporary heartbeat. Iyer got his revenge immediately on the next ball. He forced Rudransh into a big hit, resulting in a clean catch by substitute fielder L. Mishra.
