Gujarat Titans have lost both their games in the IPL 2026 campaign and are currently at the bottom of the table. According to news, their skipper Shubman Gill is expected to be available to play their next game against Delhi Capitals in Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday. Gill, who had muscle spasms and missed GT’s last clash, will take to the field against the Capitals in a crucial encounter.

His opening partner, Sai Sudharsan, confirmed the same on Tuesday, saying that the GT skipper is fit and will participate in the match. ‘He is absolutely fine and will play,’ said Sudharsan on the eve of the game. In a recently posted video, long-time friends and two Indian teammates, Shubman Gill and KL Rahul, were seen interacting and shaking hands in a practice session. They will both clash tomorrow in a much-awaited clash.

GT eyeing a comeback with the return of Gill

GT captain Gill did not play their previous game, and wore bandages around his shoulder and the neck area. He has been affected by neck spasms since the 2025-26 home Test season. Gill and Sudarshan have literally been one of the most successful openers in IPL and have amassed huge runs in the last season. With Gill’s return, GT will be hoping for a more balanced side. Although GT is ahead of DC in the Head to Head Record, winning 4 matches out of 7 matches they have faced each other, Delhi Capitals is a bit ahead of them this season in terms of performance.

Delhi Capitals have a somewhat balanced squad. Mukesh Kumar, Lungi Ngidi and T Natarajan have been impactful across both matches. The spin department looks as strong as any in the competition, with Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav. Standout has been uncapped Sameer Rizvi, who has shown his batting prowess in both the tricky chases. KL Rahul is yet to show his brilliance as he didn’t have a decent season so far.

The pitch tomorrow is expected to be a 170-run surface or higher. The weather also looks moderate and no rain, hoping for a full over game although there have been reports of thunderstorms and rains in parts of Delhi on Tuesday.
