Is Suryakumar Yadav on the verge of joining politics? Yadav, who led the Men in Blue to their second consecutive World Cup triumph in 2026, was replaced by Shreyas Iyer at the helm.

While there is no certainty about Yadav’s T20I career, several reports have been claiming that he is unlikely to represent India again. These claims were also fueled by the recent picture that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis dropped on Instagram, suggesting that Yadav is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Fadanavis captioned the picture, “Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav paid a courtesy visit. My heartfelt best wishes to him for his future endeavours!”

In case, SKY decides to quit cricket for politics, he would become the second Indian cricketer from the state to join the party.
