Aakash Chopra labels Vaibhav Sooryavanshi as ‘Wonder Kid’
Harbhajan Singh isn’t the only name who went all praises for the Indian cricket prodigy. Ahead of the highly-anticipated clash between the Royals and the Indians, former cricketer Aakash Chopra labelled Sooryavanshi as a ‘wonderkid’. Speaking about the game and Sooryavanshi facing Jasprit Bumrah, Chopra said, "Who is the genius? It's Bumrah. Who is Gen Next's poster boy? It's the wonderkid, Vaibhav Suryavanshi.”
“They will be facing each other. The last time they faced each other, Bumrah wasn't required. Deepak Chahar had dismissed him for zero.”
The cricketer-turned-commentator added that it would be an interesting sight if Bumrah bowls against Sooryavanshi in the game. "I feel the ball will be bowled full for him, and Bumrah won't start. However, if Bumrah starts, then I will just doff my hat. If you have to take out your Brahmastra to stop a 15-year-old kid, it just tells me everything that I need to know,” Chopra added.
Notably, the game between RR and MI was affected by rain, and as of writing, the toss was delayed due to the same.
