
During the 2026 ICC Women’s T20I clash between India and Australia, Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma and some other Indian stars were seen to be in attendance for the game. Ravi Shastri was present for the game and he was seen to be seated alongside Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma.
Shikhar Dhawan and his wife were also seen in the stands cheering for the Women in Blue in their fierce encounter with the Australian side. The moment these stars were shown on the big screen, the crowd erupted with huge roars for the veterans and it was possibly the loudest the crowd was in this game.
The Indian side elected to bat first against Australia in a high voltage clash and it was a fine display of batting. Harmanpreet Kaur was the star with the bat for India as she scored the quickest T20I half-century by an Indian woman against Australia.
India seemed like they would settle for a modest total in the back-end of the innings but a string of sixes from the bat of Harmanpreet Kaur changed the complexion of the game. India finished with a competitive total of 170 on board and now, all the eyes will be on the Indian bowlers to defend the total.

The game against Australia proved to be a test of character for the Women in Blue as they have done a commendable job with the bat and the bowlers will be looking to seal the game for the side.
In the second innings of the game, India picked up a couple of wickets in the first 7 overs and that gave the bowling side some confidence. The target of 170 put the game in balance as both sides had a fair chance to win the game.
Renuka Singh broke the deadlock for India as she picked up the wicket of Georgia Voll after conceding a boundary off the very first ball of the innings. Shree Charani scalped the wicket of Phoebe Litchfield and that would be the turning point of the game.
