If you were to think about it and give it a hard thought, then perhaps it won’t take much of an effort from your end to realise that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been playing a brand of cricket that besides being very competitive is agressive. And that’s been the car for the last several seasons. In some ways, this is not to philosophise, it could be stated that the colour red stands for boldness and passion and truly describes the team’s jersey! Stands true to their spirit and brand of competitiveness.

But what also begs a certain consideration and must not be castigated is the very fact that the level of self confidence that the RCB have cultivated within themselves has also perhaps gone onto add a certain undiminishing spark to their game! That’s certainly led them to not one but 2 back to back title triumphs.

Back in the day, when one contested against the RCB, the general feeling was that a side was playing against a very talented pool but the present day RCB is a formidable force that has this newfound Killer Instinct. And two of their most notable talents have also led to the discovery of this fierce spark of winning and these are- Virat Kohli and also Bhuvneshwar Kumar.  

These are two incredible and truth be told, tireless performers who have been responsible for ensuring that the Bengaluru based side nearly punch above their weight in matters where it comes to snatching a game from the jaws of defeat.

And together; these two names who have long represented Indian Cricket and perhaps played to their peak in the period of 2015-22 have backed each other endlessly and sought a lot of pleasure in others’ abilities and talent pool.

Recently Bhuvneshwar Kumar, among the most successful bowlers ever in the IPL and the man who actually ended up with the most amount of wickets for the red pack in its 2026 edition opened up on the tactical genius and the brains of his good friend, Virat Kohli.

And it ought to be noted they the dynamic duo have since been to great comrades who seek prince in one other’s achievements.
