The common saying that goes in life in general is that behind every successful man is a woman. But in the world of cricket, you can say, much like the World of entrepreneurship, behind every successful man is very tired self, besides a loving and supporting wife. The same can be - and must be- considered true, whether it comes to certain Virat Kohli and his beloved wife, Anushka Sharma, the TWO have been important pillars of Sport for one other and the genuine camaraderie, respect, affection, fondness that they have for each other is very sweet and as always made for headlines. Very respectful ones at that! Last evening was no normal game for the RCB. It was a must win clash against Gujarat Titans- a contest that they eventually won, which saw them reach the finals of the mega franchise Indian League competition, the IPL 2026. 

It was a contest in which RCB entered as firm favourites, but were always aware of the massive challenge that a certain Gujarat Titans posed. In the end, thanks soon, exceptional display of Cricket in all departments of the game, including the Royal Challengers Bangalore upset to Gujarat Titans, winning a comfortable game having first batter and post a monument. Mental 254 run knock as a team total. Important contribution and a central knock to this teen total was Virat Kohli’s cameo innings of 43. 

Had not added the way he did, the tempo of run, scoring batting at a strike rate of 200 at one point in time, the team may not have had the early impetus which it carried until the death overs. 

You could say that the momentum that Virat Kohli showed earlier and helped the captain Rajat Patidar fire the brilliant runs which he did in the end. 

But all well that ends well. In the end, as RCB came over the ropes and defeated Gujarat Titans, a moment of family, serenity and peace transpired between Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. She had been waiting beyond the boundary ropes to congratulate her hubby. It was unnecessary and a confidence boosting win for the Bangalore team, who for the second year running happened to have reached the IPL finals successively, and the two abraded, each other, showing a lot of love and respect as if they were aware of each other’s mental stress and finally embraced the relief after the tense moment was over, and happiness was there to be shared. 

It was a cute sight . It showed a lot of respect that the couple enjoys and as far as the next games are concerned, Virat Kohli’s form will be crucial for his team’s hopes. Glad that he has a supporting anchor in Anshka Sharma.
