Virat Kohli went for a two-ball duck as LSG bowlers dismantle RCB top-order in rain-striken game in Ekana Stadium on May 7.

RCB won the toss and opted to bowl first, and LSG didn’t disappoint as they put forth 209 on the board for RCB to chase, which is the second-highest run in the venue.

Although Rishabh Pant finally scored a good quickfire 32 off 10 balls after the match resumed from rain, which took LSG to 200+, tonight's highlight was Mitchell Marsh with his willow. His 111 off 56 was nothing less than a spectacle. Due to rain, RCB’s total to chase was 213 in 19 overs.

But Jacob Bethel and Virat Kohli, both the openers, were sent back by Mohammed Shami and Prince Yadav back-to-back in the first 2 overs of the game. Bethel went out for 4 after he sliced a catch to square third man on Shami’s ball.

Virat Kohli, on the other hand, gave an inside edge, and the stumps got stumbled off Prince Yadav’s ball, sending him back with a two-ball duck- that was an unplayable delivery. Prince Yadav’s jump and celebration showed how crucial this wicket was for LSG. Virat Kohli got dismissed for a duck in IPL after 9 years, his last was in 2017 when RCB scored the infamous 49 against KKR.

RCB were 9/2 after two overs.

Mitchell Marsh’s 111 off 56 breaks Rishabh Pant’s record in IPL 2026

Mitchell Marsh smashed a blistering and record-breaking century (111 off 56 balls) for Lucknow Super Giants against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on May 7, 2026. He recorded the fastest ton for LSG (49 balls) and brought up his fifty in just 20 balls, dominating RCB's bowlers. His innings included nine fours and nine sixes. The Aussie all-rounder broke his teammate Rishabh Pant’s previous record of a 54-ball century against RCB in IPL 2025.

Although there have been many interruptions in the game due to the rain, Marsh’s aggressive approach never took a back seat as he smashed RCB bowlers for fun. It started with a six against Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneswar Kumar and ended with taking on Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma in the middle overs. His previous IPL century came against the Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad long back during the 2025 season.
