Before the start of the 2nd T20I between India and South Africa in Mullanpur there was a small and funny incident which took place between two cricketers. Jitesh Sharma was seen walking to Harleen Deol on the ground. He bent down and touched her feet, while she patted him on the back with a smile on her face. This video went viral with some fans asking who the girl is while others were quick to spot it as Indian Women’s cricketer Harleen Deol.

Jitesh Sharma had his bat and batting gloves in one hand with his wicket-keeping gloves in the other. He was seen in his training kit while Harleen was all suited up wearing cool shades as well. The two were then seen having a conversation before Jitesh walked off. She pat him on the shoulder once again as he left. Harleen has part of the Indian team that recently won the Women’s World Cup 2025. She batted in five innings and scored 169 runs at an average of 33.80. However she could not retain her place and was dropped in the knockout games. Harleen Deol is also from Punjab and it was her home ground.
Jitesh Sharma had a good game as he effected a wonderful run-out of Quinton De Kock and also scored valuable 27 runs lower down the order. However, his efforts were in vain as the team was nowhere close in the end. With this win in Mullanpur by 51 runs, South Africa levelled the five-match series 1-1. Quinton De Kock was the player of the match scoring a valuable 90. India won the first game by 101 runs.
Dharamsala will host the third T20I on Sunday, December 14. Team India will aim to bounce back from this defeat. South Africa will look to carry the momentum as this spectacular series continues to swing like a pendulum. Both sides will be keen to get their combinations right as they aim to prepare for the upcoming WT20 next year.
