Cricket has an interesting way of seeing players and teammates greet each other and regard each other. At times, there’s a total lack of words and maybe more communication through eyes. Okay, an occasional word here and there and just simple nods of approval and shake of heads. And then on other occasions, there are also colleagues and mates where a very visible gesture of regard and appreciation is shown. The latter, in the particular case of Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav and ace spinner Kuldeep Yadav, was evident very recently.
The same came to make headlines post the conclusion of the famed India Pakistan encounter at Colombo, Sri Lanka where a very visible gesture on the part of the two grabbed headlines but in a rather funny way.
So the main question is what happened there and who did what to whom where or come to Suryakumar Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav.

During the Ind vs Pak match, a video went viral where Kuldeep was seen hugging Surya in an aggressive way. But yesterday, when the team arrived in Ahmedabad, Kuldeep and Surya even made a funny video about that moment. In a recent video upon the India team’s victorious performance against Pakistan in Sri Lanka post which team India arrived at the beating cricketing heart of Gujarat (in Ahmedabad), Kuldeep Yadav was seen giving a tight hug to his captain.
On seeing the immediate instance of the video one feels that Suryakumar Yadav is making a totally puzzled face and is somewhere surprised.
Moments later post the tight hug by Kuldeep or shall we say, a visibly strange way of embracing the dominant Mumbai right hander, the captain is seen smiling.
The two then immediately break into a laugh and are seen exchanging smiles. Post seeing this, the imminent moment gets engulfed in a verve of happiness and an atmosphere and the tenseness is replaced by comfort.
The instance reminds us of the sheer importance of keeping happiness intact and of a friendly banter among the team’s colleagues especially in strenuous and taxing sports like cricket.
It relaxes the environs and makes the team’s morale upbeat.
