The Royal Challengers Bengaluru star batter, Virat Kohli, has arrived at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai ahead of the clash against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. Virat Kohli looked as classy as ever with an off white colored relaxed fit T-shirt and tapered black joggers paired with a beige baseball cap and Wayfarer-style sunglasses. Kohli was seen walking towards his car as he arrived, along with bodyguards and paparazzi.

The match between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Rajasthan Royals is all set to take place at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday evening. The Mumbai Indians have wavered a bit in terms of their form in the season and will be looking to bounce back against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who themselves are coming off a hammering against the in-form Rajasthan Royals.

Virat Kohli’s form key as RCB eye strong comeback against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been off to a strong start in the season, as they have won two games in the season so far. They played their opening game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and established their dominance over the side. Jacob Duffy’s sensational spell in the power play put the Sunrisers off guard, and they were limited to a total of 201. Virat Kohli played a magnificent knock of 69 off 38 balls, including 5 fours and 5 sixes, striking at 181. He was well complemented by Devdutt Padikkal at the other end, who also got to a half-century. Against the Chennai Super Kings, Virat Kohli struggled a bit early on as he was finding it difficult to get to the boundary and hit one straight in the air, but it was fortunately dropped by Shivam Dube. Despite the poor start, he was able to find his form in the innings with a no-look six against Matt Henry. He ended up scoring 28 off 18 balls, scoring 2 fours and a six, striking at over 150.

The first real test that Virat Kohli faced in the season was against the Rajasthan Royals, as they have one of the best bowling attacks in the league with the likes of Jofra Archer, Nandre Burger, Sandeep Sharma, Ravi Bishnoi and Ravindra Jadeja. Virat Kohli edged the first ball of Archer for four. He also nicked another one off the inside edge of his bat, and this came off the bowling of Nandre Burger. But from then on, he was able to find his timing with some boundaries off each of the bowlers, including his nemesis, Sandeep Sharma. He scored 32 runs off 16 balls but was dismissed off the bowling of Ravi Bishnoi as he bowled a brilliant delivery to outfox Virat Kohli and rattled his stumps.

As the Royal Challengers Bengaluru gear up to face the Mumbai Indians away from home, they will be hopeful that they can restore the away record they had last time out. Virat Kohli will be an integral part of the batting unit, and he will be confident that he can play a big innings against the five-time champions, the Mumbai Indians.
