The 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup will go down in history for multiple reasons with the recent feud between Indian and Pakistan off the pitch being one of the major highlights. Ahead of the World Cup, Pakistan decided to boycott the clash against India on February 15 and showed their support for Bangladesh who opted out of the competition due to political reasons.  

After a long discussion between all the concerned parties, Pakistan finally said yes to play with India on Sunday on the condition that Bangladesh will not be penalised for the withdrawal. Now that everything is sorted, India will lock horns with Pakistan in Colombo giving fans a reason to celebrate.

India’s last visit to Pakistan

The Men in Blue have never been to the neighbouring nation since July 2008. The last time India played cricket on Pakistani soil was the 2008 Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka. But, after the horrifying 2008 terror attack in Mumbai, the Indian side made it a point to never visit the other side of the border and they have remained firm with their decision till date.

Pakistan’s last visit to India

The last time Pakistan came to India was during the 2016 T20 World Cup. They played against Australia in Mohali where they lost the game by 21 runs. However, their last game against India on Indian soil was during the 2012-13 bilateral series between the two nations. Pakistan won the three match ODI series with a scoreline of 2-1 while the T20 series was tied after both the teams won one game each.
