It doesn’t seem to be going Ajit Agarkar’s way at the moment, as far as being the chief selector of the Indian men’s senior Cricket Team is concerned. And there is a big vacancy opening up for the post of chief selector of Indian men’s team, which seems to be the case at the moment. Primarily speaking, the administrator from BCCI don’t seem to be too placed or do a early happy with the performance of Ajith Agarkar. As far as some recent series results are concerned where the men’s Cricket Team stands at the moment.

Now what does this mean? Does this mean that a major changes on its way? And can we expect something dramatic in the imminent future as far as the men’s Senior Cricket Team is concerned?

Question there are many, but all seem to be pointing towards the presence of a calm and simple individual who is always put the interest of the team first over his as far as active playing days were concerned

It is being said as per a report published in notable Daily Jagran that the person who could become the next chief selector of Indian men’s cricket team is going to be none other than VVS Laxman.  

Laxman brings a calm mindset, a balanced, rational thinking ability and a lot of experience as far as assessing talents and seeing them from up close is concerned.

Apart from Test capabilities where he shone as a brilliant batter with a compact and technically correct technique, his run scoring ability during pressure situations and to fend off India from hostile opponents back in the days are just some of the qualities which carve him in a niche capacity as an elite batter.

It is expected that should VVS Laxman -widely adored as very very special Laxman- be finally appointed as the head selector of Indian men’s cricket, it will bring great rewards for the game in general and some rich insights to a sensitive position as far as electing the eminent and long-term future planning of Indian cricket is concerned.

But while considerations are out at play at the moment, nothing certain or confirmed can be reported with any sense of confidence for now. Laxman definitely deserves to be considered for this critical role, but will he actually be considered something that only time can reveal.

For now, both Gautam Gambhir and Ajit Agarkar are continuing in their respective capacities as India begins an important test series on its tour to Sri Lanka for which they have already arrived in the island nation!
