Sooryavanshi, who engaged in a heated on-field altercation with rival players in the last meeting, went all guns blazing right from the start and went on to put up a total of 94 runs in just 29 deliveries.
Not only this, but the 15-year-old came up with the fastest List A fifty in just 11 balls, shattering a long-standing 20-year-old record. During his knock, the Bihar batter hit ten boundaries and eight maximums to help the side cross the 200-run mark seamlessly. Though the star batter fell six runs short of his well-deserved century and got dismissed on the fifth ball of the ninth over off a Sahan Arachchige by getting caught by Vijayakanth Viyaskanth.
