The India A opener rewrote the record books by scoring the fastest half-century in List A cricket, reaching the landmark in only 11 balls during the Tri-Nation Series final against Sri Lanka A in Dambulla. The young left-hander launched a relentless attack from the start, taking apart the Sri Lankan bowlers with clean hitting and fearless intent. His stunning effort broke a 20-year-old world record and put India A in complete control of the final within the opening overs.

After Sri Lanka A chose to bowl first, Sooryavanshi made his intentions clear immediately. He struck a boundary off the first ball he faced and never slowed down. Five fours and five sixes powered him to his record-breaking fifty. He later extended the assault to 94 runs from just 29 deliveries, helping India A race to 132/1 before he was dismissed in the ninth over.
