The latest update of Fortnite is out and there is already so much excitement among the fans. The new 18.21 update has come in the third week of the Fortnitemares 2021 event and there is certainly no doubt that it has proved to be quite exhilarating. Apart from some major changes on the island with the new Cube Town POI, it is the arrival of Cube Queen which has been the major talking point of the new update.

The character of Cube Queen, which was first seen in the trailer of Fortnite Season 8, is finally out and the developers have shared some intriguing details about it. As the name suggests, The Cube Queen is the ruler of the Cubes and will have a significant role in the game.

Caretakers are The Cube Queen’s strongest warriors

In the official blog, Epic Games also revealed information about a new force: Caretakers, who have been described as tall, foreboding and shadowy apparitions with some lethal powers. They have been termed as The Club Queen's strongest warriors and defeating them will earn the players some exciting rewards.

"Their spectral tendrils pull you directly into The Sideways for a showdown on their home turf. Survive a Caretaker’s assault and you’ll walk away from all the richer," Epic Games stated in the blog.

Sideways Scythe - A new Sideways weapon

Another fascinating addition is the inclusion of new Sideways weapon, called the sinister Sideways Scythe. It is certainly something that players will be excited to try and it can be obtained as floor loot or inside Sideways chest. However, players can also get hold of Sideways Scythe in a much-more challenging way i.e. by killing the new Caretaker monster. But it must be noted that it is not an easy task!

Notably, items like Witch Brooms and the Pumpkin Rocket Launcher have also returned to Fortnite in addition to the much-awaited Horde Rush. There were also details given in the blog about the same as it stated, "The Horde Rush LTM will be live from October 19 at 9 AM ET to November 2 at 9 AM ET, but not just on its own. There’ll also be Horde Rush Quests you can complete for special rewards! Unlock the Thinking Juice Back Bling, a Cube Queen Banner, and the Cuddle Scream Leader Spray."
