Cycling at Commonwealth Games 2022: Preview, squad, schedule, when and where to watch & more

Cycling has been part of the Commonwealth Games 2022 since the second edition of the Games. Cycling, being an optional sport has appeared in every edition of this event. Although, India has not bagged single medal ever in the competition but the current performance of Indian contingent speaks volumes of the talent and potential players have.

Preview:

Team India will look to end its medal-drought at CWG on the back of their recent performance at the international stage. India bagged 20 medals in the recently concluded Asian Track Cycling Championship courtesy of Junior World Champion Ronaldo Singh. India has named 13-member contingent with 9 male cyclists and 4 female cyclists. The Indian contingent will be led by new sensation Ronaldo Singh, Rojit Singh, David Beckham and Essow. Mayuri Lute will have responsibility to lead the charge in the women’s category.
