This means players should not immediately assume that a BGMI ban is coming to Maharashtra simply because they see reports about an online gaming ban.
BGMI, Free Fire and Valorant are not the target
BGMI is a competitive multiplayer game and is widely played as an esports title. Free Fire and Valorant also have major competitive esports scenes.
These games should not automatically be treated as online money games simply because they are online games.
The regulations are mainly aimed at games and platforms where users deposit or stake money with the expectation of winning money.
Why are people talking about a BGMI ban?
