After football legend Messi confirmed his India visit, esports legend S1mple is also set to light up the country this Diwali, as his team has registered for the Chennai Esports Global Championship (CEGC) 2025. S1mple is currently part of BC Game Esports, and if the team finishes in the top two of the Europe Qualifiers, the CS:GO legend will come to India to play the LAN event in Chennai.
CSGO legend S1mple Ccoming to India? Team registers for Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025
Regarded as one of the greatest esports athletes of all time, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev might come to India to compete at the Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025. The 28-year-old CSGO legend is a part of the BC Game Esports team roster in the Rifle and AWPer roles. The team has registered for the upcoming CEGC 2025, set to be played from 7 to 9 November.
S1mple is undoubtedly one of the most accomplished esports players who has won multiple CSGO titles like 21 HLTV MVP medals, Intel Grand Slam, a Major, and many S-tier titles.
The CEGC Counter-Strike 2 will be held from November 7 to 9, bringing together top teams from India, Southeast Asia, and Europe to compete for a USD 50,000 prize pool. This prestigious tournament will be part of the Valve Regional Standings, playing at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai. Registrations are open across all three regions, with the top two teams from each qualifier advancing to the Chennai Playoffs.

The Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025 Europe Qualifiers will take place from 21 to 23 October, and the top two teams will qualify for the LAN event, set to be played in Chennai from 7 to 9 November. If BC Game Esports manage to secure the top two places in the qualifiers, then S1mple will play in India.
