PUBG Mobile LIGHT pre-registration is set to begin soon after the game was officially announced during the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026. PUBG Mobile producer Rick Li introduced the new app during the event and explained that it is being developed as a lighter and more flexible way to play PUBG Mobile. The game will require less storage while keeping the core PUBG Mobile experience.
PUBG Mobile LIGHT Pre-Registration Date
The PUBG Mobile LIGHT pre-registration date is August 25, 2026. Players will be able to pre-register before the full game becomes available.
The official store link has not been made available yet. Once registration starts, players should check PUBG Mobile's official channels and the Google Play Store or Apple App Store rather than downloading files from unknown websites.
PUBG Mobile LIGHT Release Date
The exact PUBG Mobile LIGHT release date has not been announced.
During the announcement, Rick Li confirmed that the developers are targeting an official launch later in 2026. More information about the final release date is expected closer to launch.
PUBG Mobile LIGHT Download Size
One of the biggest reasons for creating PUBG Mobile LIGHT is storage.
The initial download will be only around 1GB on Android and under 2GB on iOS. Players will also not need to download another mandatory resource package before playing their first match.
After installation, users can choose additional modules depending on the content they want to play.
This is different from the older PUBG Mobile Lite, which was a separate game designed for low-RAM devices. Its official site describes that older version as having separate accounts and matchmaking.
PUBG Mobile LIGHT Features
Despite being smaller, PUBG Mobile LIGHT is planned to stay connected with the main PUBG Mobile experience.
Players can expect Classic Erangel, familiar supplies and the core combat experience. Existing PUBG Mobile players will also be able to log in using their PUBG Mobile account and continue using supported owned items.
Another major feature is cross-play. PUBG Mobile LIGHT players will be able to team up with friends playing the main PUBG Mobile, meaning squads will not need to move completely to the lighter app.
The developers also plan to keep PUBG Mobile LIGHT updated alongside PUBG Mobile, allowing both versions to receive new content together.
With pre-registration beginning on August 25, more information about the download link, system requirements and final release date should be revealed as PUBG Mobile LIGHT gets closer to launch.
