
India has a big reason to celebrate at the Free Fire World Cup 2026 (FFWC 2026). Team Apex Gaming and S8UL Esports have officially qualified for the Grand Finals after delivering impressive performances in the Survival Stage on 17 July. With this result, both teams will now compete for the $1 million (around ₹8.5 crore) prize pool and the world championship title on 18 July.
After missing out on direct qualification from the Group Stage, both Indian teams entered the Survival Stage with one final chance to stay in the tournament. A total of 12 teams competed across 10 matches, with only the top four teams earning a place in the Grand Finals.
Team Apex Gaming and S8UL Make It Through
Both Indian teams remained consistent throughout the day and collected enough points to finish inside the qualification zone.

Total Gaming Esports Eliminated
While Team Apex Gaming and S8UL celebrated qualification, Total Gaming Esports could not make it to the next stage. The team finished 11th with 98 points, ending its journey at the Free Fire World Cup 2026.
Despite the elimination, Total Gaming represented India well and fought until the final matches of the Survival Stage.
Grand Finals Set for 18 July
The Free Fire World Cup 2026 Grand Finals will be played on 18 July. Team Apex Gaming and S8UL will join the eight teams that qualified directly from the Group Stage, making a total of 12 teams in the final.
The Grand Finals will be played using the Champion Rush format, where teams must first reach the Champion Rush points threshold before securing a Booyah to become the world champions.
Both Indian teams will face some of the strongest teams in the tournament, including EVOS Divine, Buriram United Esports, RRQ Kazu, Fluxo W7M, and LOUD.
With two Indian teams now just one step away from the trophy, fans will be hoping that Team Apex Gaming or S8UL can create history and bring India's first Free Fire World Cup title home.
