The ongoing 2nd ODI between India and West Indies on Wednesday witnessed lot of drama inside first hour of play. After the home side lost the toss and were asked to bat first, the fans were delighted as they were about to see the opening pair of India's captain (Rohit Sharma) and vice-captain (KL Rahul). However, what everyone saw at IST 1:30 PM left cricket lovers in shock!

Instead of KL, it was Rishabh Pant who walked out to open the innings alongside Hitman. It was indeed an astonishing move by team management, considering the ample amount of options they have for the opening slot. It looked like an experiment, but unfortunately it failed.

After a tough start to his innings, the left-handed batsman was eventually dismissed after scoring 18 runs off 34 balls, leaving India in a spot of bother.

Pant looked disappointed with the way he lost his wicket and fans would have thought that he would be gutted inside the dressing room. However, when a few overs later he was captured again on camera, it was quite an unexpected but hilarious sight.

The 24-year-old was seen lying across the boundary cushion, where he was chatting with physio Nitin Patel and Deepak Chahar. As expected, the netizens were quick to react as they pointed out that Pant was copying the famous meme pose of Yuzvendra Chahal.

The trolls started to begin and while shedding light on parallels being drawn between Pant and Chahal's lying pose, one of the users hilariously claimed that every masterpiece has its cheap copy.

One of the fans sarcastically stated that Pant was relaxing after playing a heroic knock in the 2nd ODI. It looks like Pant's reaction after a 34-ball 18-run innings did not really go too well with some of the fans.

With India struggling at 66/3 in 18.5 overs, the phrase "Aag lage basti mein, Pant bhaiya apni masti mein" was possibly the perfect depiction of the whole situation. Rishabh Pant is not someone who gets easily disappointed and that's how he likes to approach things in life.

Although Pant might have been dismissed early, his reaction after the wicket has certainly given fans a new meme template.
