After 2 years of extremely competitive cricket, 686 days of sheer hard-work, 59 mouth-watering matches, the stage was finally set for the ultimate grand finale of the inaugural edition of World Test Championship between the two best teams in the world - India and New Zealand. However, all the excitement, drama and buzz turned into disappointment on the day of the final showdown as heavy rain delayed the toss in Southampton.
As a result, the first session of Day 1 was wiped out and the fans were not too happy with the sequence of events at Ageas Bowl. With the ground completely flooded with water and rain pouring down at the Rose Bowl, it is very unlikely that there will be any cricket action on Friday.

The cricket lovers were very angry with ICC for choosing Southampton as the venue for the grand finale of the World Test Championship despite knowing that the the weather during English summer is quite unpredictable. While some fans trolled the people who took this decision to finalize the venue, the others flooded internet with some hilarious memes with how rain has killed all the excitement for the match.
