South African veteran Faf du Plessis on Sunday took to Twitter to thank his fans for well wishes and support and provided an injury update. The former South African skipper, who is a part of Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2021, suffered a nasty collision in the 19th match of the tournament at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
Suffered memory loss: Du Plessis
Faf du Plessis took to Twitter and informed that he is back at the hotel from the hospital after tests and is recovering. He further revealed that he has a concussion with some memory loss and assured his fans that he will be fine soon.
“Thank you everyone for all the messages of support. I'm back at the hotel recovering. Have concussion with some memory loss but I will be fine. Hopefully be back on the field soon. Much love,” Du Plessis tweeted.
Du Plessis’ availability against Lahore Qalandars doubtful
The injury has put Plessis’ participation in the upcoming matches in doubt. The franchise will next face Lahore Qalandars in their next match on June 15. Notably, Du Plessis' wife Imari Visser, who on Saturday had taken to Instagram and showed her concern. She wrote: "This is killing me right now. Surely he should be checked in hospital?"
