Jasprit Bumrah also in contention for vice-captaincy role
The BCCI official further informed that while Rohit Sharma's name for the captaincy role is almost finalized, multiple names are being touted for the vice-captaincy position. Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant and pacer Jasprit Bumrah's names are also being discussed to play Rohit's deputy in the longest format.
