Hardik Pandya has recently said in a video that he is looking at IPL 2022 as a comeback platform. And looking at his preparations, it seems like the India all-rounder is all set to take the 15th edition of the tournament by storm. Hardik has shared a video on his Instagram where he can be seen smashing the bowler in the nets at will. The 28-year-old looks in great control while hitting those shots.

In the video, Pandya is seen playing all kinds of lofted shots. While on one delivery he steps out and smashed the bowler over his head, on another one he stays in his crease and plays the 'helicopter shot'.

Hardik Pandya to captain team Ahmedabad

The India and Baroda all-rounder is all set for a new role going into the 15th edition of the Indian T20 League. After getting released by his first IPL franchise Mumbai Indians, Pandya has been roped in by Ahmedabad. He has also been named the captain of the new franchise. Pandya played for Mumbai for seven years and contributed in all three departments (batting, bowling, fielding) but getting a leadership role becomes a different ball game altogether.

However, the flamboyant cricketer is not too worried about the new role and hopes to lead by example. While talking to a senior journalist Pandya had revealed that he wants to set a culture in the dressing room where everyone feels at home.

“My way of leadership is to set examples, to set culture, to set the attitude which the team wants to play with. So, my way of leadership is taking the team along. So, my philosophy isn’t too complicated. You have to make sure the environment is nice, and the players are feeling at home and once everyone gets comfortable, they realize their potential,” Pandya had said about captaincy.

In Ahmedabad's press conference, the all-rounder had said that he wants to emulate the passion of Virat Kohli, the calmness of MS Dhoni in pressure situations, and the freedom Rohit Sharma gives to players in his captaincy.
