The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will kick off from the last week of March but the excitement and buzz around the same have already taken over fans. With the addition of two new franchises, the IPL is getting bigger and so will be the thrill and drama. Ahmedabad and Lucknow are the two new teams that have been added to IPL. While the Lucknow-based franchise has got everything in place before the mega auction kicks off on 12 February, Ahmedabad still has a couple of things to sort out.
The CVC Capital-owned team is still to reveal its name and logo. However, the delay is only building suspense among fans. The officials, however, have made some brilliant choices in the draft picks as they have picked Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill. Local boy Pandya has been handed the leadership role for the team.
The franchise may be taking its time in completing the formalities, but the players already seem to have developed a bond. A testimony to the same is Rashid Khan's comment on Hardik Pandya's latest Instagram post. The Afghan spinner looks flattered with his 'skipper's' new look. Khan wrote "?? skipper ??" in the comment section of Hardik Pandya's latest post.

Ahmedabad to announce team name soon
Well, the wait for Ahmedabad fans will be over this week as the team is all set to announce its name and logo. It is taking a while for them to come up with a name but a team official has ensured that it will be worth the wait. “We are ready to launch our team name & brand identity. The announcement will be made very soon & we are sure fans will love the entire effort”, an Ahmedabad IPL Team official was quoted saying by InsideSport.
