Cricket and Bollywood - The two most popular things in India have collaborated quite successfully in recent times to produce another exciting genre - Cricket Movies! After Lagaan kicked off the proceedings way back in 2001, fans have got an opportunity to see many blockbuster hits in this category with the likes of Iqbal, Chain Kulii ki Main Kulii, Patiala House, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story etc.
Recently, the much-awaited 83 (film) was released which showcased the incredible story behind India's biggest sporting achievement i.e. winning the cricket world cup against all odds way back in 1983. There is another cricket-genre based movie - Jersey - which is set to hit the cinema halls very soon, with Shahid Kapoor playing the lead role.

And much to the delight of everyone, preparations for another cricket-drama movie has kicked off. The film will be titled 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi' and is set to release on October 7, 2022. The movie will star Rajkumar Rao (character name - Mahendra) and Jahnvi Kapoor (character name - Mahima) in lead roles and the latter has started her cricket training for the same.
The actress shared the pictures from her training camp with the caption, "Cricket camp #MrandMrsMahi.” In the images, Jahnvi Kapoor can be seen alongside director Sharan Sharma, cricketer Dinesh Karthik and KKR assistant coach Abhishek Nayar, who were presumably training her for her role.
The actress can be seen sweating it out in a helmet in one of the images while another pic shows her sitting with gloves alongside a cricket kit. Notably, the cricket camp lasted for 6 days and has now come to an end, which means that more information around the much-awaited movie could be out in the coming days.
