The 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is set to kick off on August 29. After the first match of the season between Telugu Titans and Tamil Thalaivas, Bengaluru Bulls will take on Puneri Paltan in the second game of the season at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Vizag on August 29.
Bengaluru Bulls emerged as champions in Pro Kabaddi League 2018-19 while Puneri Paltan ended up winning the title in 2023-24. Both the teams have won one title each and will be looking to get a winning start to their campaign in hunt for their second PKL title. Before that,

Yogesh Dahiya
One of the most talked about players ahead of PKL season 12 is Yogesh Dahiya. The star defender became the most expensive player in PKL history after Bengaluru Bulls picked him for INR 1.125 crore in the PKL 2025 auction. Yogesh has been one of the consistent defenders in the last two PKL seasons and has racked up 149 tackle points in 45 matches. Bengaluru Bulls will be having high hopes from him for the upcoming PKL season and his role will be crucial in the first match against Puneri Paltan.
Pankaj Mohite
Puneri Paltan have formed a solid attacking lineup for PKL season 12 and one of the key players for them will be Pankaj Mohite. The star raider had a great season last year where he collected 110 raid points in 22 matches for Puneri Paltan. This was the main reason that the Paltan retained him ahead of the upcoming season. Now, Puneri Paltan will be hoping for another standout performance from Mohite against a strong defense of Bengaluru Bulls in the upcoming match.
Akash Shinde
Another player who can turn out to be a key performer in the upcoming PKL season 12 clash between Bengaluru Bulls and Puneri Paltan in Akash Shinde. The star raider was bought by the Bulls for INR 53.10 Lakh in the auction this year. Shinde has also played for Puneri Paltan in PKL season nine where he turned out to be star performer 139 raid points. He has collected a total of 296 raid points in 57 PKL matches in his career.
