The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) returned on Friday, August 29 with its 12th edition. The tournament, which has grown in leaps and bounds, returned with a revamped structure and its four-cities format, which will see th tournament get played in Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, Chennai and Delhi. Moreover, its renewed format also brings thrilling clashes on the mat as this year, a total of eight teams will walk into the playoffs.
While the Vijay Malik-led Telugu Titans will return to action after going down against Pawan Sehrawat’s Tamil Thalaivas in the PKL Season 12 curtain-raiser. With a 35-38 defeat, the Titans are reeling at the bottom-most spot at the moment. On the other hand, the UP Yoddhas, who secured a spot in the playoffs last season but were knocked out after a defeat against the defending champions in semi-final 1, will aim hope to put up a show.
