5. Pat Cummins hit his fastest IPL fifty for KKR in just 14 balls in 2022
In the 14th game of IPL 2022, Australia pacer Pat Cummins struck a 14-ball fifty for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Pune and handed his team a convincing five-wicket win. The Aussie became the player to notch up the fastest half-century then, with KL Rahul, who held the similar record with his innings for Punjab Kings (PBKS) against Delhi Capitals in 2018. Both players remained the owners of the feat until May 2023 when Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a 13-ball fifty for Rajasthan Royals (RR) against KKR at the iconic Eden Gardens.
4. RCB registered their biggest victory on April 14, 2016 (by runs)
On April 14 2016, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) broke into record books with their 144-run win against Suresh Raina’s Gujarat Lions (GL) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Defending the total of 248, Bengaluru bundled out Gujarat for 104 runs. England pacer Chris Jordan picked up 4/11 in his three-over spell to hand Bengaluru their biggest victory in the history of the league.
3. RCB recorded 10-wicket win against Punjab Kings on May 14, 2018
On May 14, 2018, RCB bagged a 10-wicket win against PBKS at the Holkar Stadium. Fielding first after winning the toss, Bengaluru folded the home team on 88 with the assistance of Umesh Yadav, who grabbed 3/23 figures in his four-over spell. After the exceptional bowling show, RCB captain Virat Kohli (48 off 28) along with his opening partner Parthiv Patel (40 off 28) looked fierce and helped his team reach the target in just 8.1 overs.
