Rajasthan Royals legend and former skipper Shane Warne led from the front by taking 19 wickets in the inaugural season of the IPL in 2008 as RR turned out to be the first-ever champion of the tournament. RR pacer Sohail Tanvir finished as a leading wicket-taker of the season with 22 scalps while skipper Shane Warne finished second with 19 scalps in 15 matches.
2. Abhishek Sharma smashed 19-ball fifty as SRH thrashed LSG by 10 wickets
Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head were all over the Lucknow Super Giants bowlers as Sunrisers Hyderabad chased the target of 166 runs in just 9.4 overs. Abhishek want on to smash a fifty in just 19 balls while Head reached the milestone in just 16 balls as LSG scored 167/0 in just 9.4 overs, winning the match by 10 wickets.
3. Harshit Rana scalps 19 wickets in his breakthrough season in IPL 2024
Playing for Kolkata Knight Riders, fast bowler Harshit Rana had his best season of the IPL in 2024. The right-arm pacer took 19 wickets from 13 matches in IPL 2024. With this performance, Rana also went on to make his debut for the Indian team in Tests and ODIs respectively.
