Chris Gayle is the only cricketer in the history of the T20 World Cup to score two hundreds, first of which came against the hosts South Africa in the first match of the inaugural tournament in 2007, although it turned out to be in a defeat for the West Indies at the Wanderers, Johannesburg. He went on to replicate the feat against England in the 2016 edition of the tournament, helping the Caribbean giants get the better of the opposition at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
