But for 2024, the expectations will be high as fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has returned with a bang from his injury layoff.

Alongside Bumrah, another household returned to the MI franchise with the five-time champs completing a historic trade for Hardik Pandya from the Gujarat Titans. To further bolster the team’s chances in 2024, Mumbai Indians should look to buy in the upcoming auction on December 19.
Waindu Hasaranga
Sri Lankan all-rounder Waindu Hasaranga could help the Mumbai Indians solve one of their biggest concerns, i.e., spin bowling. The five-time champions haven’t had a great international spinner since the departure of Rahul Chahar in the last mega auction. Since then, veteran Indian star Piyush Chawla has been the best player in that role. Hence Hasaranga's arrival could bolster the spin attack and add more batting depth to the Mumbai-based side.
