Kusal Mendis
Kusal has been one of the most improved and consistent players in the T20I format, if the past 12 months are to be seen. Since being given a permanent spot in the white-ball side, the Sri-Lankan opener has taken the opening for their side seamlessly. Mendis has also performed explosively against New Zealand in the two Test matches. Kusal, who scored 152 in the three matches for Sri Lanka this year, can also be a wicket-keeping option in the GT squad.
