2. Phil Salt

Phil Salt, the top order bat for England in limited overs cricket, has been a part of the national team setup for the past couple of years. With limited opportunities in the ODI format, the 26-year-old has made quite a name for himself with the bat in hand, scoring a century and two fifties in 14 appearances for the national team.

The right-hander batter has scored 308 runs in the 50 overs cricket, striking at 125.68 runs per 100 balls, with an average of 38.33. With such hitting pedigree at the top of the order, it’s tough for Phil Salt to miss out on a place in the ODI World Cup squad of England, mainly due to the experienced players like Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow running the show at the top of the order for the better part of last eight years.
