Preview
South Africa staged an emphatic comeback in the 2nd ODI to draw the series and prevent the last game from being a dead rubber. This was Temba Bavuma’s first win as a captain and he certainly knows for a fact that the job is far from over. His main players like Anrich Nortje, Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi and David Miller have left for India for the IPL, and he will be left with a second-string team.
Pakistan were not rolled over and that is something they should be proud of. Fakhar Zaman once again proved why he is a class player as he notched up a brilliant 193 while chasing South Africa’s huge total of 341. A bizarre run-out ended his stay but his innings have been inducted in the record books.
A huge challenge is waiting for the Proteas as Pakistan will come out all guns blazing. Be it their bowlers or their batsmen, nearly everyone is contributing and that is a good sign for the Men in Green.
