Despite countless blistering batting performances, cricket fans will remember 2023 as the year for Indian fast-bowling’s dominance. Led by the Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj trio, Indian speedsters dominated every opposition. Starting with Siraj, the Hyderabad native ripped apart the Sri Lanka attack in the Asia Cup final and played a central part in the 49 all out with magnificent figures of 6 for 21.
After Siraj, Bumrah returned to international cricket with a bang and continued his dominance like he never left. The Gujarat-born pacer showcased why he is considered one of India’s greatest. Last but not least, Mohammed Shami concluded 2023 as India’s most prolific speedster. The West Bengal star lit up with IPL and then continued this form in the World Cup, where he picked up 24 wickets in innings with a best of 7/57 in the semi-final against New Zealand.
