With the return of the Indian Premier League, fans are eager to witness one of India's greatest cricketers, MS Dhoni, who, after retiring from international cricket, continues to play for the Chennai Super Kings. The last edition of the IPL was thought to be Dhoni's last and hence fans at every venue went out of their way to shower love on the World Cup-winning captain.

Despite the Chennai Super Kings being considered one of the most well-run franchises, the Yellow Army has failed to nominate a direct successor for MS Dhoni. In the 2022 season, Chennai tried Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as the captain but after a dismal performance, went back to Dhoni. The issue continues to haunt CSK and hence Captain Cool could play one more season to find the right captain for Chennai.
