Before losing the ODI World Cup 2023 final to Australia, the Indian cricket team registered a 10-match winning streak in the flagship tournament at home. Virat Kohli, who scored 765 in 11 matches during the CWC 2023, the most among all, was adjudicated as the Player of the Tournament, while his teammate Mohammed Shami was the highest wicket-taker, picking up 24 scalps in just seven matches too.
