Sheer dominance from Gujarat Titans in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as they lift their maiden title in the debut season itself. The Hardik Pandya-led team showed brilliant temperament in the big game as well. In a tricky chase of 130, GT found their hero in Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, and David Miller. While Pandya and Miller chipped in with 34 and 32* respectively, it was Shubman Gill who finished things off with a maximum and starred with his 45*.
Earlier, while bowling, captain Pandya stepped up as he took three big wickets in the form of Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, and Shimron Hetmyer. He found a perfect partner in his deputy Rashid Khan who bowled an economical spell of 1/18. Mohammed Shami (1/33) and Sai Kishore (2/20) also helped GT's cause to restrict RR to a below-par total (130/9).
As Hardik Pandya impressed everyone with his all-round performance and Gujarat lifted the elusive trophy, Twitter users showered their praise on the GT captain.
