It does not matter how old you grow; you can always be scolded by your dad, even if you are the secretary of the world’s richest cricket board. That’s the Indian culture and none can deny that. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah could not concentrate during a puja ceremony and resultantly got scolded by his father Amit Shah.

In a video doing rounds on social media, India’s Home Minister Amit Shah and his family are seen holding a puja. Jay Shah is also standing beside his father but he cannot concentrate and keeps looking around while Pandit Ji chants mantras. The elder Shah gets frustrated by this behaviour and scolds junior Shah and asks him to concentrate. “Aama dhyan de (Focus on this),” says Amit Shah to Jay Shah in the viral video.

While Jay Shah is getting scolded by his father, the Indian cricket board is facing heat from fans after the news of star pacer Jasprit Bumrah getting ruled out of T20 World Cup broke out. Fans are criticizing the board’s medical team for their poor judgement of Bumrah’s fitness. As Bumrah has reportedly been ruled out of the biennial tournament with a back stress fracture, fans are asking why the pacer’s rehabilitation was hurried.

It’s worth mentioning that Bumrah stayed out of cricketing action for two months and missed the Asia Cup 2022 with a back injury. However, he was called back for the home series against Australia and South Africa. While the pacer featured in two of the three T20Is against Australia, he could not play the first T20I against South Africa due to back pain. Now, reports claim that the pacer has suffered a fracture that will keep him out for around six months.
