Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has taken a sharp stance on Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s tweet taking a sly dig at Indian team after England and Pakistan qualified for the final of the T20 World Cup 2022. Hours after England registered thumping victory over India and set-up a clash with Pakistan in the summit-clash, Pakistan Prime Minister's unreasonable tweet went viral on internet.
“So, this Sunday, it’s: 152/0 vs 170/0,” read Sharif’s tweet. Notably, ‘152/0’ signifies Pakistan’s 10-wicket win over India in the T20 World Cup 2021, while ‘170/0’ indicates England's 10-wicket win against India in T20 World Cup 2022, at Adelaide Oval.
In response to tweet from Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Irfan Pathan responded by commenting, “Aap me aur hum mein fark yahi hai. Hum apni Khushi se khush or aap dusre ke taklif se. Is lie khud ke mulk ko behtar karne pe dhyan nahi hain (This is the difference between you and us. We are happy with ourselves; you look for happiness when others are in the middle. That is why you are not concentrating on your country’s well-being).”
Even, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam was asked to comment on his Prime Minister’s tweet, but he ignored the question by saying that he is not aware of it as he didn’t get time to see it. “But sorry to say, I didn't see this tweet, so I have no knowledge of it. But yes, we just try to give our best against the opposition,” said Babar Azam on the eve of England vs Pakistan final clash at Melbourne Cricket Ground, on November 13 (Sunday).
Notably, India suffered shocking elimination after England stunned them in the first semi-final clash of the T20 World Cup 2022. Meanwhile, Pakistan cruised into final of the ICC tournament after beating New Zealand quite comprehensively at Sydney Cricket Ground.
