South Africa Champions captain AB de Villiers took the fans down the memory lane with his his knock in match number six of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 against India Champions at the County Ground in Hampshire. Widely regarded as Mr. 360 degrees, De Villiers went on to smash an unbeaten 63*(30) runs as South Africa Champions posted 208 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs.

Coming to bat first after losing the toss, the Proteas legends got a fine start as Hashim Amla and Jacques Rudolph and Hashim Amla added 35 runs for the first wicket in 4.2 overs. Amla got out after scoring 22(19) runs while Rudolph scored 24(20) runs. After that,, South Africa went on to lose regular wickets as they were reduced to 118/5 after 13.4 overs. After that, captain AB de Villiers took charge of the innings.

After South Africa were five down for 118 runs under 14 overs, AB de Villiers and JJ Smuts took the innings further as the duo put up a partnership of 71 runs for the sixth wicket. Smuts got out after a quickfire 30(17) runs hitting three fours and a six, while De Villiers went on to complete his half-century in just 28 balls.

De Villiers remained unbeaten playing a captain’s knock of 63 runs off 30 balls hitting three fours and four sixes. Morné van Wyk also gave finishing touches with 18*(5) runs asSouth Africa Champions ended their innings on 208 runs losing six wickets. For India Champions, Yusuf Pathan and Piyush Chawla scalped two wickets each while Abhimanyu Mithun put one in his bag.
